Job Summary
The Director of Marketing & Revenue at Original X Productions will oversee the company’s sales and marketing efforts, driving brand awareness, audience engagement, and optimizing revenue. This leader will develop strategies to maximize market penetration and ensure that all revenue generating efforts support overall business objectives. This position is ideal for a seasoned leader who excels in data-driven strategy, performance marketing, and inspiring cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, experience-driven industry.
- This is a remote role and can be located anywhere in the U.S.* DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Long-Term Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive, multi-channel marketing and sales strategy to meet the company’s growth objectives. Focus on maximizing both ticket sales and brand loyalty through unique customer offerings
- Revenue Forecasting: Establish revenue goals and sales strategies with data-backed forecasting models. Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively to prioritize high-impact projects
- Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing competitive analysis and monitor industry trends to keep the company ahead of competitors. Identify new market opportunities and enhance value propositions to stay relevant in a competitive landscape
Drive Revenue Performance
- Lead paid media strategies and manage revenue generating campaigns to achieve ROI across all revenue streams
- Review, tweak and monitor current/alternative revenue streams for all OGX Location Based Experiences including:
- Product Development (i.e. ticket types)
- Revenue Management & Optimization including pricing, demand, aligning marketing strategies
- Evaluate and Optimize strategies for:
- Group Ticket Sales
- Private Events
- Corporate Events
Data & Analytics:
- Leverage revenue reporting, data & analytics and customer insights, referencing historical and competitive data
- Leverage local market data to support planning efforts and goal setting for each venue with understanding of local and tourist audiences and how to drive sales for each
- Implement data-driven audience segmentation and develop strategies to engage new audiences, retain current customers, and increase repeat attendance through personalized marketing efforts
- Deliver regular reports of campaign results, including evaluation of KPIs/ROI
Sales & Partnerships
- Revenue Generation: Establish KPIs and strategies that ensure achievement of quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Identify strategic third party re-seller relationships and opportunities and work closely with marketing coordinator to execute
- Develop group sales strategies and related partnerships to execute
- Collaborate with external partners to enhance marketing reach and leverage third-party audiences
Leadership & Team Development
- Team Management: Oversee and develop the marketing team, establishing clear roles, responsibilities, and objectives. Provide mentorship, encourage skill development, and create a collaborative team culture
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, finance, creative and production teams to ensure sales and marketing goals align with overall business objectives
- Innovation & Best Practices: Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies
- Lead initiatives to improve marketing automation, CRM effectiveness, and digital engagement
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field;
- 10+ years in senior-level sales and marketing roles, ideally within live entertainment, location based entertainment, experiential marketing, or consumer-driven industries
- Proven track record of achieving revenue and growth targets in complex, high-stakes environments
- Current or recent business and market experience directing sales for both group and leisure segments
- Top-notch leadership skills; strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented, data-driven, with a high degree of financial literacy
- Must be able to work in a (very) fast-paced environment, multi-task and prioritize, be alright with ambiguity, and collaborate closely with remote leadership

The salary range for this role considers a range of variables and may include but is not limited to; experience, training, skills sets, business needs, travel. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $110,000- $150,000 This range has not been adjusted based on the geographic location of the successful incumbent.
