JOB SUMMARY:TheMarket Development Managerdrives DTG's efforts toidentify,validate, and scale new market opportunities across technology and services. Working in close partnership with the Senior Product Manager andDirector of SoftwareArchitecture, this role bridges market insight with product and technical execution. Operating as part of a smallteam, theMarket Development Manager focuses on exploringemergingmarkets,validatingclientneeds, and shaping go-to-market strategies forinnovative solutions-without disrupting existing Business Unit operations. Reporting to theHead of Emerging Technology, this role plays a pivotal part in translatingnew ideasinto market-ready offerings that generate sustainable, profitable growth.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Market Discovery & ValidationConduct market research, trend analysis, and competitive benchmarking to identify and prioritize new opportunities.Engage directly with clients, prospects, and partners to understand unmet needs and test solution concepts.Translate insights into actionable hypotheses and pilots with measurable success criteria.Partner with the Senior Product Manager to refinetheNew Product Introduction (NPI)process and ensure clear handoffs from validation toscale.Apply AI-driven tools to accelerate research, clientsegmentation, and opportunity assessment.Business Case Development & Financial AnalysisBuild models to assess market potential, pricing, unit economics, and return on investment.Prepare business cases and recommendations for leadership review, including assumptions, scenarios, and performance metrics.Collaborate with Finance to track progress, validate outcomes, and report on ROI.Use modern analytics tools to support data-driven decision making and iteration.Go-to-Market Strategy & ExecutionDefine ideal clientprofiles (ICPs), market positioning, and entry strategies for validated opportunities.Partner with Marketing to develop early-stage demand generation and awareness campaigns.Work with Sales and ClientSuccess to design pilot offers, sales enablement materials, and feedback loops.Support cross-functional readiness planning (support, delivery, compliance, legal) prior to scale-up.Partnership & Ecosystem DevelopmentIdentify and evaluate strategic partnerships (e.g., Microsoft ecosystem, ISVs, integrators) to accelerate market validation and product adoption.Represent DTG in select partner and industry engagements to build relationships and gather insights.Collaborate with the Software Development Architect to align technical roadmaps with market priorities.Measurement, Iteration & GovernanceTrack performance metrics such as ARR, pipeline growth, win rates, CAC/LTV, and payback.Analyze funnel and cohort data to identify bottlenecks, validate assumptions, and guide next steps.Present market insights, progress updates, and investment recommendations to the President & CIO.Promote responsible use of AI tools for analytics, forecasting, and efficiency.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).6-10 years of experience in market development, product strategy, or business development within a technology or IT services organization.Proven ability toidentify,validate, and launch new market opportunities or service offerings.Strong background in market research, pricing, and go-to-market planning.Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance.Demonstrated ability to engage clients and prospects directly to test and refine market ideas.Applicantsare subjectto background checks, drugtestingand government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements related to the clearance process.Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable personal vehicle.Preferred:Experience within theMicrosoft technology ecosystem(e.g., Dynamics, Azure).Experience in B2B technology, public sector, or regulated industries.Familiarity with product analytics, growth experimentation frameworks, or marketing automation tools.MBA or equivalent practical experience.WORKING ENVIRONMENT:The majority ofwork for this role is performed in a home office and interacts with a wide variety of people with differing functions,personalities,and abilities.Telecommuters are expected to have sufficient home office space that appears neat,organized,and professional when on video meetings.Travel isrequiredand varies around 25%.REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION: It is Arctic Information Technology, Inc.'s business philosophy and practice to provide reasonable accommodations, according to applicable state and federal laws, to all qualified individuals with physical or mental disabilities.PREFERENCE STATEMENT: Arctic Information Technology, Inc. grants preference to qualified Doyon Shareholders first, and second to qualified shareholders of other Alaska Native corporations that grant a similar preference in all phases of employment and training, which include, but are not limited to hiring, promotion, layoff, transfer, and training.PAY TRANSPARENCY STATEMENT: Arctic Information Technology will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
