Job Description
SBG Funding is hiring an SEO Manager to join our growing marketing team and expand our content reach to small business owners. We are looking for someone who is driven, optimistic, and resourceful. Our mission is to create a meaningful content and resource center for our audience, providing them with the knowledge and advice needed to improve their business through funding in an accessible, smart, sometimes unexpected, and always helpful way. Our team collaborates with the internal sales team, operations, and development agency to ensure our site, landing pages, and content are reaching the widest audience possible.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Define Search Strategy: Work closely with senior leadership to define search strategy and success metrics in organic search performance, including rank, page load speed, and domain authority.
SEO Analytics: Develop and monitor SEO analytics dashboards to report against key metrics such as traffic, conversion, customer growth, revenue growth, cost per acquisition, and lead generation.
Search Strategy Ownership: Own the search strategy across multiple SBG-related sites and work closely with internal and external partners.
SEO Performance Analysis: Review and analyze SEO performance across our organization to ensure technical, structural, and targeting best practices are being met and improved.
Competitive Analysis: Gather competitive data and work with the broader team to brainstorm ideas, formulate A/B split tests and CRO to improve conversions and user experience.
SEO Recommendations: Provide SEO analysis and recommendations in coordination with elements and structure of websites - both to improve existing domains and review new launches.
Link Building: Implement link-building campaigns in coordination with key metrics.
Keyword and Technique Analysis: Analyze keywords and SEO techniques used by competitors and identify industry trends.
Why We’ll Love You
Experience: At least 5+ years of experience working in SEO, preferably in-house. Proven track record of developing and executing successful SEO programs in the past. A background in financial services or a startup environment is a plus.
Technical Skills: Extensive experience with keyword research tools, content gap analysis, competitive research, and seasonal planning, combined with a passion for investigating issues and seeking opportunities using tools like Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console.
Web Knowledge: Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Core Web Vitals, and structured data and how they impact SEO.
Up-to-Date: Keep up to date on the latest SEO best practices, strategies, and algorithm updates and implement innovative approaches to stay ahead of the competition and evolve with the changing organic search landscape. Lead practice in exploring and implementing emerging technologies related to SEO, including AI.
Balanced Approach: Experience balancing business goals while improving technology to scale SEO best practices in a results and data-driven environment.
Leadership and Initiative: We are looking for someone to take charge of our existing setup and be the driving force propelling our brand and business to the next level. Competitive Salary: Base salary: $100,000 - $150,000 (dependent on skills, experience, and competencies)
