In our mission to grow and enhance our services, we are seeking a highly skilled Content Marketing Manager. This role is pivotal in elevating our brand's story through dynamic and empathetic content. This role is central to developing and disseminating content that resonates with our audience, supports them through their journey, and reinforces our position as the leader in online divorce.
While we are looking for someone with the below skill sets, we are a very lean team and are open to a variety of candidates who are strong marketing generalists and can switch between being creative and analytical as business needs arise.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Strategy and Editorial Calendar: Develop and manage Divorce.com's editorial calendar, focusing on content that resonates with our audience's needs and aligns with our brand values.
Creative Campaign Development: Conceptualize and implement innovative campaigns, such as:
○ Annual divorce insights report that positions us as a thought leader.
○ Collaborative social media campaigns with partners, expanding our reach and engagement.
○ Development of helpful resources like quizzes, calculators, and checklists that cover various aspects of divorce, offering practical support and guidance.
Social Media Management: Help Head of Marketing manage social media presence including posting content and engaging with the community across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X (twitter)
Influencer/Partner Marketing Management: Identify and work with influencers who are brand-aligned and have a similar audience to ours. Some example niches include: marriage counselors, financial advisors, divorce coaches, mediators, etc. Also work with our more strategic partners to develop collaborative content that educates our customers on various aspects of the divorce process.
PR Support: Work with our PR agency to craft different positioning ideas for different media outlets. Flag when relevant topics are trending that could be an opportunity for us to share our story.
SEO: Ensure the content we publish follows SEO best practices and track the impact of our content on SEO.
Event Management: Help the Head of Marketing execute polished events (e.g. webinars & livestreams) where we can showcase our thought leadership and also have other thought leaders appearing as guests. Support the run of show content, coordinate event production, possibly host a show when it makes sense.
Customer Journey Support: Create content that assists customers at different stages: from considering divorce to rebuilding life post-divorce. As part of this, review copy throughout the journey and make recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in content marketing and strategic planning.
- Expertise in managing editorial calendars and creating diverse content formats.
- Proven ability in developing and executing creative and impactful marketing campaigns.
- Strong communication skills with a flair for storytelling and engaging a variety of audiences.
- Superior copywriting skills to educate and persuade audiences to take action
- Insightful understanding of customer journeys, particularly in the context of divorce.
- Understanding of SEO best practices and how content can help support SEO efforts
- Experience with analytics tools to track performance (GA4, SproutSocial, etc)
- Experience managing social media for a brand or at least having a strong personal presence on social
- Experience with graphic and video design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Capcut, etc.
Nice-to-Have:
- Background or interest in the legal or divorce services industry.
- Innovative approach to content marketing, with examples of creative solutions in past roles.
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools and data analytics.
- Background working with digital design tools like Figma or Canva
