About the Job:
- The Operations and Marketing Assistant will be an integral part of the nailsaloon team. We are looking for applicants who are motivated, proactive, and looking to grow their skills in a start-up style environment.
- The Operations and Marketing Assistant will primarily support the CEO of nailsaloon with both completing daily tasks and managing longer-term projects that support the growth of the company.
- The secondary goal of this role will be to support the COO and Director of Marketing with project management tasks including tracking metrics, ordering inventory, organizing team events, social media management, general research, and more.
About nailsaloon:
- We were born in 2014, in DC’s Logan Circle. Since then, we’ve expanded to become the DMV’s premier nail salon and cocktail parlor, with 4 locations (and a fifth on its way).
- Here’s a bit about us…
- We are obsessed with nail health. It’s why we use 5-free+ nail color, and non-toxic and nail-enriching products in all our ‘saloons. You can even eat our scrubs (because they’re made with kitchen ingredients) though this is not something we actively recommend.
- We practice hyper-cleanliness. It’s why, where single-use tools cannot be used, we use medical-grade sterilization. Because… well, yuckiness (of any kind) is not welcome here.
- We know that time connecting to self - or others - is oxygen. It’s why our spaces are more lounge than salon, and our teams don’t have assigned stations. So, when you come in with someone else, we’ll seat you together. And when you’re alone, you can sink into our homey seats with your book, podcast, or thoughts, as if you were, well… home. Because you are.
- We realize that a mani or pedi is often a treat. The truth is, nobody *needs* a mani or pedi. So, if you make a call to visit in the name of your self-care, we celebrate you by doubling down on your moment of zen, offering you a hot tea, a latte, or a Bellini… to help you unwind while you are pampered.
- We believe that giving back is what makes any of us most beautiful. That’s why - since day one - we’ve committed to giving a portion of our proceeds to organizations that support the communities we serve. To date, we’ve gifted almost $200,000. And we’re just getting started.
