Who You Are:
We are looking for a results-driven and innovative marketing leader to join our team. Depending on experience and career aspirations, the successful candidate will step into the role of either Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) or Senior Vice President of Marketing (SVP). This role is remote and can be based anywhere in the U.S.
What You Will Do:
- Own the marketing function: You will own both the long-term GTM strategy and the day-to-day operation of the entire Marketing team at Storyblocks, overseeing all aspects of brand and creative, positioning, product marketing, content, demand generation, and communications to build a reliable funnel, convert, and retain target customers.
- Scale subscription eCommerce: Leverage your deep subject matter expertise around performance media, web/growth marketing, and SEO to drive customer acquisition for our self-serve products.
- Partner with Product to deliver a cohesive Customer Journey: Collaborate with the Product & Engineering teams to deliver a web experience that effectively guides our different customer types through the evaluation of our products.
- Partner with Sales on high-velocity motion: In a close partnership with Sales, you will generate both Inbound and Product Qualified leads to build a repeatable pipeline for our B2B products so that we can exceed our new business goals.
- Drive strategic alignment: As a member of the management team, you will partner with executives who lead other departments to align the marketing organization to efficiently deliver solutions to achieve ambitious business goals in support of overarching company priorities.
- Develop top talent and run comprehensive performance management: You will recruit, retain, and develop a diverse collection of top talent on a 15+ person marketing team. This includes investing in learning and development where the team's interests intersect with a business need, as well as running a structured and transparent performance management process to ensure that expectations are clear and that we cycle out underperformers who cannot meet those expectations.
What You Bring to the Table:
Required
- 15+ years of Marketing Leadership, combined with a previous VP+ role of managing a marketing team at or above our current scale
- Aligned to Storyblocks Mission & Values
- Committed to building diverse & inclusive high-performing teams
What We Bring to the Table: - Competitive and fair compensation: We believe in fair pay--equal pay for equal work. For each title, we consistently apply competitive salary bands based on market data and benchmarks which are reviewed twice a year. What you've been paid before, fear of conflict, or willingness to negotiate does not play a part in determining your pay.
- 401(k) retirement plan: We offer both a Traditional and Roth 401(k) with a company match.
- Company-paid medical: Our medical, dental and vision premiums are covered 100% for you and your dependents.
- Paid parental leave: Welcoming new family members is exciting, but it can also be challenging. We offer twelve weeks paid leave for primary caregivers and four weeks for secondary caregivers.
- Unlimited vacation: At Storyblocks, we believe in the importance of taking time off when you need it. Don't worry about tracking hours or accounting for partial days. Typically, employees take about three or four weeks each year. Plus, two company-wide breaks in July (July 4th week) and December (week before New Years).
- Flexible work options: We are headquartered in the Washington DC area, but are a fully remote company. We're not focused on where you work, but the results you deliver. We get together as a company 4 times a year to ensure we forge and maintain strong personal relationships even though we're a remote business.
- Company-sponsored mentorship and growth: We encourage attending meetups and are happy to host them as well. We also have a leadership coach, on staff, available to all employees to enhance your professional development.
- Employee perks: We help employees integrate their work and life and honor their contributions to the organization by offering resources such as a financial wellness program, a subscription service that offers unlimited deliveries from thousands of eligible restaurants with $0 delivery, and a recognition and rewards program that celebrates their accomplishments.
- Compensation:
- CMO: $321,000 - $359,000
- SVP: $255,000 - $286,000
- Placement within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members. Total compensation for this position includes an annual performance bonus.
