This is a multi-disciplinary role with broad exposure across all areas of the company. The Marketing Manager sits within the Brand & Communications department and will work directly with brand leadership to drive the marketing strategy and calendar for ROOM, ensuring communications and initiatives across all channels, both online and offline, are consistent with the brand and driving core business goals. Critical thinking, collaboration and project management skills are integral to this position, as is a proven ability to think outside and box and inspire cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions to unique business and brand challenges.
This position will report into the VP, Brand & Communications.
What you’ll do:
- Partner with Brand Leadership to execute on the Company’s brand marketing strategy, collaborating with cross functional teams to support the achievement of Brand and Revenue goals.
- Work across the ROOM organization - Product, Brand Marketing, Creative + Design, Public Relations, Demand Gen, and CX - to drive growth, engagement, and retention by focusing on a handful of high impact global launches each year
- Conceptualize and craft detailed marketing briefs for key go-to-market events and initiatives, and partner with Brand Marketing and Demand Gen teams to develop robust and coordinated launch plans - inclusive of web, marketing collateral, demand generation, content creation (blog, social media), while ensuring seamless execution of those plans.
- Oversee organic social strategy and execution for ROOM’s social platforms, partnering with Brand and Design teams to develop inspiring content and traffic-driving creative.
- Serve as Community Manager for all social platforms ensuring relevant stream of communication with key accounts, industry verticals, partners and clients.
- Partner with Brand Marketing, Creative + Design and Demand Gen teams to build toolkits that revenue can use to market key products and features, and continuously drive fresh creation of relevant and timely sales-enablement content (eg Case Studies, White Papers).
- Develop creative briefs for internal and external design teams and project manage from concept to execution.
- Serve as brand ‘gatekeeper’ maintaining real-time collateral library; ensure consistency and standardization of brand across assets and channels.
- Partner with Brand & Public Relations teams on events and activations, including but not limited to: vendor source and management, coordinating assets, on-site logistics, and partner/client management.
- Monitor industry trends, consumer insights and customer behavior and identify new and relevant ways to drive our brand forward.
Who you are:
- BA degree or higher in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications or related fields
- 5-7 years of experience in Marketing, MarComm, Brand Management (PM-type responsibilities a plus)
- A combination of analytical and creative abilities: you're able to dive into performance data to infer customer insights, you're able to write a quick and catchy marketing copy in a pinch, and you can drive creative strategy with a keen eye for design for assets.
- Exceptional communication skills, especially the ability to work closely with experts in a different field, understand their needs, and translate them into products and features.
- Highly collaborative and willing to give and accept constructive feedback.
- Ability to work autonomously, focusing on key outcomes amidst competing priorities.
- Extremely detail oriented and organized - able to manage interdependent, complex projects and keep various work streams on track with little oversight or guidance.
- Strong collaborator—ability to work across multiple teams and personalities to drive towards a common goal
