The Role
As our Director of Marketing, you'll develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that elevate the Absolutely Ridiculous brand, as well as drive and expand our market presence. This role requires a hands-on approach, while laying the foundation for future team growth. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to shape our marketing strategy.
What You’ll Get To Do
Brand Management and Strategy
- Develop and maintain a cohesive brand identity across all channels and sports
- Create and implement marketing strategies aligned with company goals
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities
Digital Marketing
- Manage our website, ensuring optimal user experience and conversion rates
- Develop and execute SEO and SEM strategies
- Create and oversee email marketing campaigns
Social Media and Content Creation
- Manage all social media accounts, creating engaging content and building community
- Develop a content marketing strategy, including blog posts, videos, and podcasts
- Collaborate with influencers and athletes to expand brand reach
Product Marketing
- Plan and execute product launches
- Create compelling product descriptions and marketing materials
Partnerships
- Identify and manage strategic partnerships to enhance brand visibility
Analytics and Reporting
- Define, track, and analyze marketing KPIs
- Prepare regular reports on marketing performance and ROI
- Use data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies
Team Building and Leadership
- Develop a plan for scaling the marketing team as the company grows
- Hire and mentor new team members as budget allows while building up existing members of the team
- Collaborate effectively with other departments
Who You Are
- You are ready to make an immediate, major impact on the trajectory of a brand/company
- You have a successful track record as a dynamic marketing team leader who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with particular expertise in Direct to Consumer businesses.
- You are used to working within a constrained resource model, and know how to maximize every penny spent on marketing for maximum return
- You are comfortable wearing multiple hats and executing hands-on marketing tasks while also thinking strategically about long-term growth.
- You bring prior experience and knowledge of best practices in larger corporate organizations, which will be invaluable as we scale. At the same time, you also possess the grit and resourcefulness typical of startup marketers.
- You have both experience leading a team, and the desire to invest in co-workers.
- You are very organized and not afraid to delegate.
- You are a do-er, and thrive doing, and directing.
