Job Summary/Purpose
The Events Manager will work directly with the VP of Events & with our HQ Events department to execute our Prada Retail & Special Events in order to support all the commercial needs of the retail business in compliance with the Company’s image and standards. The events will be based on the strategies set both locally and in partnership with HQ. Furthermore, the Events Manager will be responsible for executing events in the US and Canada, including but not limited to managing the budgets, timelines, reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities
Events/Special Projects
- Create and distribute event proposals for retail events, image events, press events, and store openings in North America.
- Partner with HQ to uphold Prada Group standards/guidelines for all event and marketing activities in North America.
- Maintain annual budget reporting/calendar of events
- Send periodic updates to executives and HQ events dept.
- Schedule weekly meetings with general managers for opportunities for clientele and partnerships in the local communities.
- Schedule weekly meetings with partners in regional markets (Canada, Mexico, Brazil)
- Building and Maintaining relationships with vendors.
- Collaborate with legal to construct legal agreements with vendors.
- Individual event budget management.
- Maintain a detailed production schedule for each event
- Share production timeline, floor plans, and run of show for all events with internal partner teams, (retail ops, CRM, Merch teams etc)
- Formulate retail events strategy to achieve goals set by Milan HQ
- Produce and execute all elements of events including invitation verbiage and fulfillment, vendor management on site, supervising execution on-site including set-up and breakdown
- Collaboration with partners outside (local charities for example) and internal (CRM team) to promote new client acquisition by engaging guest attendance for regional and national image events
- Analyze sales results, best practices, and other metrics to include in reporting on individual projects.
- Review Competitor reports in all markets to support the event proposal process
Budget
- Tracking and creating budgets throughout the year for events
- Creates, manages, and keeps track of the PO process in SAP for all events
- Keeping finance aware of large disbursements and possible cash flow issues \
- Liaison to finance for all department functions
Requirements
- 5 - 7 years of experience in Event Planning, preferably luxury retail
- Prior experience managing the budget process of events from start to finish
- Prior experience with planning tools: including Excel, PowerPoint, SAP
- Attention to detail, and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must be proficient/advanced user in PowerPoint and Excel
- Must be extremely organized and detail oriented
- Ability to travel extensively
The annual salary range for this position may vary from $90,000 - $110,000, and if applicable, may be eligible for bonuses and other incentive opportunities. The rate of pay offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
