ABOUT THIS JOB
Ladurée is seeking a digitally savvy marketer with a strong background in social media in the luxury, hospitality and/or lifestyle space. The right candidate has a strong mix of creative and strategic skills with a focus on creating high performing content and building a community of brand evangelists. This will be a creative, hands-on role that will be making decisions based on data.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Social Media and Content Manager is responsible for elevating the Ladurée brand to drive brand growth, reach and engagement of new and existing digital audiences in the US. All channels of social media will be executed and directed by this role. They will also lead all content creation for the US market.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Campaign and Strategy Execution
- Create and manage social media calendar for all channels to plan out all timelines and budgets in coordination with product launch calendar and seasonal activations
- Responsible for the execution of all aspects of the social media plan
- Partner effectively with cross-functional business departments —including teams across markets, Customer Service, Marketing, Creative / Content Creation , IT, Operations, and third-party vendors—to effectively roll out and scale highest impact initiatives.
- Work directly and collaboratively with PR agency
- Drive social partnerships to grow channel presence and connect digital and offline / retails
Content Creation
- Influence, schedule and determine content and creative needs for the execution for all social media channels
- Brainstorm, ideate concepts, and deliver write-ups to be integrated into final content creation
- Direct campaign photoshoots and editing for new product images, as needed
- Oversee the creative development of each campaign, pushing to ensure work reaches the highest caliber
- Work with creative team in Paris to adhere to all global brand guidelines
- Execute copywriting for all social media plans
Measurement
- Work with platform data, statistics and community insights as well as with the media agency teams to measure and define the strategy and approach for campaigns
- Ensure measurement of social efforts are utilized to optimize reach and ensure productivity of social content
- Review campaign performance, identify learnings, build actionable insights and socialize results to ensure continuous improvement.
- Directly responsible for all community management to foster a highly engaged community
- In collaboration with digital media manager, drive the SEO / SEA strategy, budgeting and digital marketing channel allocation
General Responsibilities
- Reviews, communicates and follows the Ladurée Guidelines
- Maintains knowledge of local competition and general industry trends.
- Keep current on best practices and social media trends -- be a thought leader in the space.
- Works as part of a team and provides help and support to all fellow team members.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Marketing or Communications degree preferred
- 5+ years of Social Media experience at an agency or a brand in retail, hospitality and/or luxury industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of contemporary digital media (social media, content marketing, influencers, video, mobile)
- Experience in strategizing, developing and delivering upon Marketing strategies to meet company objectives
- Strong copy writing skills – for both short & long form copy
- Strong affinity for Ladurée brand and philosophy
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively to deliver timely and impactful results
- Must be organized, self-motivated, and proactive with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills—a compelling, impactful storyteller
- Analytical problem solving and decision-making skills, must be proficient in Google Analytics.
- Languages: French is a plus
Additional Essential Requirements
- Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week.
- Must have valid US work authorization.
