About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to help lead our overall brand and product strategy, driving the product pipeline from conception through final execution of campaign assets and retailer support. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Creative, Product Development, Sales, and Ecommerce teams (as well as key retailers and external partners) in the execution of our key brand priorities. You will report to the Director of Global Brand Marketing, and be a manager to one direct report.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Management
- Develop short and long-term marketing brand strategies to accelerate Farmacy's growth and exceed our objectives. Work closely with cross-functional partners to successfully execute these strategies
- Continuously refine our brand tone to align with our Brand DNA
- Work with Copywriters to reflect the brand voice
- Identify overarching brand moments to drive brand awareness
- Develop sustainability messaging and communicate across all channels
Product Strategy (NPD) + Product Assortment Management (Existing Portfolio)
- Execute innovative product development + pipeline strategy in support of Farmacy's strategic direction and priorities
- Drive new product messaging, claims development + educational support
- Carry out white space opportunities
- Conduct competitive research to build business case for Product Development and Concept Ideation briefs
Ownership of 360 Campaigns: Conception to Final Execution of Assets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Marketing, Ecommerce, and Sales) on end-to-end go-to-market campaign process & plans.
- Lead all creative briefs in the Go-to-Market process
- Drive relationships with various vendors to create content and develop assets for campaigns
- Lead recaps & launch post-mortems with all cross-functional partners
Retailer + Promotional Support
- Develop and execute detailed calendar of product marketing and promotional programs, including sampling plan to drive recruitment
- Partner closely with Sephora and International sales leaders to develop global strategies that support the core business + accelerate new product launches
- Support promotional marketing activities (kits & sets, merchandise strategy)
Day-to-Day Business Management
- Prepare and support presentations for management meetings
- Own budget management for key marketing spend buckets
- Conduct competitive analysis to learn from industry trends in sales, new product development, competitive activations
- Leverage real-time campaign KPIs to inform decisions and drive strategic, efficient spend investments for maximum ROI
- Lead your direct report (Marketing Coordinator), building their capability, coaching through day-to-day work, and developing them as a Marketing professional
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of professional Marketing experience
- Experience in Beauty industry strongly preferred; passion for the industry is a must
- Detailed, thorough + organized
- Ability to synthesize data to drive business decisions
- Comfortable driving deadlines and holding people accountable
- Creative problem solving expertise
- Able to reliably commute to the NYC office minimum 2 days per week + ad hoc as needed
- Permanently authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship from employer
