About The Role
We are seeking temporary Brand Marketing department leadership while our Director of Global Brand Marketing is on maternity leave. You'll develop and drive effective 360 marketing programs for all new product launches and existing core heroes in the portfolio, from conception to final execution. You are a strategic thinker with a creative flair, experienced in leading high-impact marketing initiatives within the beauty industry. You'll partner closely with internal teams including Product Development, Creative, Consumer Engagement, Ecommerce, and Key Accounts, as well as external partners like agencies, freelancers, and our retailers. You will report to the SVP of Marketing. You'll directly manage four people (Social, Brand, Education, and Copywriter), with a total team of seven.
This is a temporary contract position and is set to last approximately 24 weeks, from September 16, 2024 through February 28, 2025.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage innovation calendar and product marketing strategy including product architecture, and product launch process
- Launches. Drive the ideation and execution of 360 marketing plans for new launches in alignment with cross-functional partners.
- Brand DNA. Develop + refine brand and product messaging, ensuring voice is consistent across all customer touchpoints
- Concepting. Lead creation of product concepts, marketing copy, claims, & education materials
- Retailer liaison. Lead message track and materials for Market Week reviews with the retailer(s).
- Briefs. In partnership with Senior Marketing Manager, coach + contribute to development of clear and thoughtful campaign briefs
- Social. In partnership with Senior Social + Content Manager, coach + contribute to content creation process with clear feedback and strategic direction
- Copy. Coach Copywriter and oversee all cross-functional copy assets.
- Analyze sales data, industry trends, product reviews, and competitive research to identify actionable insights
- Team Leadership. Manage and develop your team, carefully delegating assignments, managing workload, and supporting career growth.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional Marketing experience
- 4+ years of people management experience
- Beauty industry experience is a must
- Thrive in a start-up environment with an all-hands-on-deck positive attitude
- Able to reliably commute to the New York office minimum 2 days per week + ad hoc as needed.
- Authorized to work in the US without the need for current or future sponsorship from employer. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.

- Estimated pay range $3,000-$4,000 per week
