The Marketing and Special Events Coordinator role at Bloomingdale's involves assisting in the execution of integrated marketing campaigns through local in-store events and activations. This position is crucial for driving brand awareness and customer acquisition at a localized level, ultimately impacting market share positively. The coordinator works closely with internal store teams, vendor partners, and external community organizations to effectively promote Bloomingdale's business objectives. This role requires collaboration with various departments, including store leadership and central marketing teams, to ensure that event strategies align with both national and local goals. The coordinator will be responsible for cultivating customer engagement through curated event experiences that appeal especially to Bloomingdale’s top spending clients, including Luxe, Unlocked, and Top of the List members. Additionally, the coordinator aids in securing sponsorships, co-branding opportunities, and community initiatives, enhancing the brand’s local presence while building long-term customer loyalty.

In this role, the Marketing and Special Events Coordinator also collaborates with the Central Earned Media team to boost public relations efforts and local media plans, including partnerships with social media influencers pertinent to the brand’s image. Acting as a point person for external communications at the local level, they leverage corporate philanthropy programs to maximize community impact and fundraising efforts. The position follows a hybrid work model, with four days required in-store and one day remote, and involves physical activities such as walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
