Hi, I'm Melodie — CEO of Business Tech Ninjas.

I create content about self-leadership, systems thinking, and building businesses that actually work well. But creating it and distributing it are two very different skill sets.

Here's the truth: I need help getting my content into the world in a way that matters.

I'm not looking for someone to just hit "post" and disappear. I'm looking for someone who wants to learn what makes content resonate, who gets curious about the data, and who isn't afraid to say "I noticed this pattern—should we try something different?"

It is irrelevant to me if you have experience doing this. What matters far more is curiosity, a desire to be useful, and a coachable mindset. I can teach you the skills but I can't make you want to grow.

This isn't a typical "social media manager" role. You won't be creating graphics or writing captions from scratch (though if that's a skill you have, great). You'll be the person who takes what I create and figures out how to get it in front of people who need it—then helps us learn from what happens next.

If you're the kind of person who

  • Sees a problem and thinks "how can I solve this?" instead of waiting to be told
  • Tracks your own work without needing reminders
  • Gets energized by improvement, not perfection
  • Wants to grow your skills in content distribution and audience building

Then keep reading.

This role starts small—10 hours a week, posting content and tracking what works. But if you show up with curiosity, ownership, and a growth mindset? This could become something bigger. You'll need to prove yourself.

We'll build the system together. You'll learn. I'll learn. And we'll create something that actually moves the needle.

Sound like you? Let's talk.

10 hours/week | 3-Month Initial Contract | Remote

What This Role Really Is

I create video and written content. You'll take that content and get it out into the world—posted on YouTube and social platforms—then track what's working so we can do more of it.

This role will grow with you.

You'll start by executing the posting and tracking. Over time, as you learn what resonates with our audience, you'll take on more ownership of the process—bringing insights, suggesting experiments, and pushing things forward alongside me.

The long-term vision: Build an audience that's genuinely engaged, create opt-ins that convert, and drive interest in joining our membership community, The Arena.

What You'll Actually DoWeeks 1-4: Learn the System

  • Post content to YouTube and social platforms following the process we build together
  • Track basic performance metrics (views, engagement, subscriber growth)
  • Prepare a simple weekly summary of what happened
  • Show up to our weekly meeting ready to discuss what you're seeing

Weeks 5-8: Start Connecting Dots

  • Notice patterns: "This type of content got 3x the engagement—should we do more?"
  • Flag what's working and what's not, with evidence
  • Propose small experiments: "What if we tried X format or Y posting time?"
  • Refine the workflow based on what we're learning

Weeks 9-12: Take the Wheel

  • Come to weekly meetings with insights and recommendations, not just reports
  • Proactively suggest content angles, distribution experiments, or optimization tweaks
  • Own the process improvements that make things run smoother
  • Push things forward WITH me, not wait for me to push

How We'll Work Together

Weekly Rhythm

  • One 60-minute meeting each week (With break weeks where you will be expected to move things forward based on previous meetings)
  • You come prepared with: performance summary, key observations, and questions or suggestions
  • We decide together what to test, change, or double down on
  • Between meetings: you execute, track, and prepare for the next sync

Tools & Systems

  • We'll use a shared project management tool (ClickUp) to track tasks and learnings
  • All performance data tracked in a simple dashboard we'll build together
  • Communication via Slack or email for quick updates between meetings

What I Expect

  • Ownership: You track your own tasks and deadlines—I don't chase you
  • Preparation: You show up to meetings having reviewed the data and formed observations
  • Communication: If something's blocked or unclear, you flag it early with options
  • Growth mindset: You're 1% better each week based on what you're learning

What I Don't Expect

  • That you know how to do this perfectly from day one
  • That you have all the answers—we're figuring this out together
  • Perfection—I expect progress, iteration, and curiosity

Success Metrics

Month 1: Execution & Consistency

  • Content posted reliably and on schedule
  • Basic tracking in place and updated weekly
  • You show up prepared to our weekly meetings

Month 2: Observation & Insight

  • You're spotting patterns in performance data
  • You bring observations and questions, not just reports
  • Small improvements to workflow or content approach based on learnings

Month 3: Proactive Ownership

  • You're pushing things forward, not waiting for direction
  • You propose experiments and optimizations
  • The process runs smoother because of systems you've built or refined

This Role Is NOT a Fit If

❌ You need step-by-step instructions for every task

❌ You wait for me to remind you to update tracking or prep for meetings

❌ You don't ask questions when something's unclear—you just guess or wait

❌ You take feedback personally instead of as fuel for improvement

❌ You're looking for a "post and forget" role with no growth or learning

This Role IS a Fit If

✅ You're comfortable figuring things out (with support, not alone)

✅ You're naturally curious about what makes content perform well

✅ You're organized and don't need hand-holding to stay on track

✅ You see feedback as a gift, not criticism

✅ You want to grow your skills in content distribution and audience building

✅ You get satisfaction from making things work better over time

What You Need to Have

Required

  • Comfortable with YouTube and social media platforms (you've posted content before, even personally)
  • Basic familiarity with tracking performance (views, engagement, etc.)
  • Strong written communication in English
  • Reliable internet, workspace, and availability for a weekly video call

Nice to Have (But Not Required)

  • Experience with content management or social media coordination
  • Familiarity with tools like ClickUp, Notion, or similar project management platforms
  • Interest in coaching, personal development, or membership communities

Compensation & Growth Path

Starting Rate: $20/ CAD hour (based on platform experience)

Growth Potential

  • 3-month review: Raise to $20-25/hour if you're demonstrating proactive ownership and bringing meaningful insights
  • Fully owning this role and driving it forward: $25-28/hour if you're fully pushing the work forward and reducing my load. Taking on full ownership of what it means to be a content manager

This is a prove-and-grow opportunity. I'm investing in someone who wants to develop these skills, not just check boxes.
