Position Overview
DFX Events Marketing Intern - New York City. We are seeking an enthusiastic and sociable NYC Marketing Intern to assist with the DFX brand and field marketing initiatives. This immersive internship involves collaborating directly with the founder and being part of the marketing team that brings financial technology and commercial real estate events to life in NYC. Please note: the internship requires you to be based locally in NYC — ideally in Manhattan, Queens, or Brooklyn.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend capital market, tech startup, and private equity fundraising events on behalf of DFX.
- Network with founders and investors.
- Manage marketing projects including creative briefs, website and artwork design, and video production.
- Learn to deliver compelling product or service pitches to potential customers.
- Engage proactively with event attendees to spark interest and initiate conversations.
- Collaborate with the founder and marketing team to prepare marketing and advertising plans and assets, providing timely updates on project statuses.
- Provide professional updates to executive leadership by coordinating meetings, briefings, and requests.
- Work with the sales team and vendors to manage event planning and inventory coordination.
- Assist in creating social media content and a variety of marketing materials, including LinkedIn blog posts, onsite event coverage, and case studies.
- Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data from multiple sources.
- Conduct competitor research to identify industry trends and inform future marketing strategies, including content and social media planning.
- Support company goals by taking ownership of new and diverse assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
- At least one year of marketing experience; experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated mastery of cross-team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in communication tools such as Slack and project management tools like Notion.
- Solid understanding of marketing processes and strategies, with bonus skills in Canva, digital advertising, marketing automation, and HubSpot CRM.

- Current senior or recent graduate in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
