Marketing financial Responsibility

  • Primary responsibility for LG Electronics annual $200 million marketing investments and project management for LGEUS including HQ Strategic Fund with collaborating with cross functional teams, HE/HA BU and LG HQ Business Planning business units
  • Support and develop annual marketing budget plan with HQ 16 business units with US Product managers.
  • Lead and manage monthly marketing budget plan and P&L, and analyze budget performance as primary liaison with all HQ Korea business units (HE/HA and B2B). Responsible for budgeting and forecast.
  • Management of Accounts Receivable and Payment of Marketing investment
  • Ensure marketing budget is recognized and reflected to Profit and Loss statement based on short and long term activity visibility, and supervise accurate and complete monthly close and preparation of marketing financial statement for US Marketing budget operation.
  • Analyze monthly financial accruals and reconciliations, and assess marketing investment in order to support HQ’s daily requests of P&L issues
  • Develop and analyze marketing financial investment analysis, and provide senior leadership to foster better decision marketing

Marketing budget management and operation

  • Manage and review all marketing activities assigned to each marketing team of HE/HA/B2B to accomplish KPI over 90% moving plan accuracy
  • Hands-on APMS (Advertising & Promotion Management System) operation of Marketing budget management system to deal with HQ’s requests in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with LGE HQ, and deliver various P&L analysis reports
  • Responsible for the financial integrity of reported results of operations, and enforcement of corporate accounting policies.
  • Establish and organize workflow of Marketing budgeting management that leads to efficiency and proper handling of supporting sales and operation documentation.
  • Train and mentor for assistant managers
  • Help and support BU leaders to align investment strategies with marketing objectives
  • Support LG Corporate Audit, and develop improvement plan of marketing processes in order to improve efficiency
  • Analyze and monitor Marketing investment of washing machine to support Anti-Dumping investigation preparation

Core Process Innovation

  • Lead and develop process innovations of marketing budget management as a module leader of the “Core Process” initiated by HQ, and supervise and encourage marketing teams to comply with the processes (Budgeting and Management Process, Invoicing Process, Sample Order Process, Annual budget Accrual process, In Store Management Process, and so on)
  • Analyze and reinforce existing process to improve efficiency and effectiveness, delivering insightful marketing budget operations
  • Work closely with HQ and US General Procurement teams to develop and to manage LGEUS procurement process of marketing vendors to increase productivity and to achieve cost efficiency
  • Led annual vendor evaluation of Marketing vendors and implemented vendor consolidation between US and MU
  • Monitor and manage budgeting process, and provide process guidance of marketing budget compliance, and develop improvement plan of marketing management and process.
  • Develop and update Invoice Portal system to improve invoice processing, which is to minimize duplicated payment
  • Analyze and improve process issue of Sample Management and Sample Portal System.
