Position Overview

The Vice President of Sales and Marketing is a key executive leadership role responsible for driving strategic revenue growth, expanding market share, and developing high-performing sales and marketing teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Tent Rentals and federal contracting and a proven record of sales excellence and national-level recognition.

This leader will oversee the development and execution of strategic plans that align with iRent Everything's business objectives, with a focus on optimizing sales performance, strengthening brand presence, and cultivating relationships with federal agencies, event management partners, and high-value clients.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy targeting federal, commercial, and event markets.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a results-driven sales team focused on growth, retention, and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key federal procurement officials, contracting officers, and event industry partners.
  • Oversee government contracting processes (SAM, GSA schedules, bids, and compliance documentation).
  • Negotiate large-scale contracts and partnerships to maximize revenue and long-term business value.
  • Establish clear KPIs and performance metrics to ensure consistent sales achievement across all regions.

Marketing Strategy

  • Develop integrated marketing campaigns that promote the company's nationwide tent rental and logistics capabilities.
  • Lead branding initiatives to strengthen market visibility and competitive positioning.
  • XX Manage digital marketing, trade show participation, and PR strategies to support lead generation.
  • Oversee proposal development, marketing collateral, and content strategies aligned with business development goals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in government and event sectors.

Collaboration and Growth

  • Partner with operations, finance, and logistics teams to ensure fulfillment capabilities align with sales commitments.
  • Drive innovation in customer engagement, pricing strategies, and service differentiation.
  • Represent iRent Everything and Rapid Response at industry conferences, federal contracting events, and trade associations.

Qualifications

  • XX Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sales leadership within tent rentals, event rentals, or related logistics industries.
  • 5+ years of direct experience managing federal contracts (including RFPs, RFQs, and GSA processes).
  • Proven track record of sales awards, top-tier performance rankings, or national recognition.
  • Strong understanding of federal procurement processes, government bidding, and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Data-driven decision-maker with the ability to manage multimillion-dollar revenue portfolios.
