Position Overview

Manski Media is on the lookout for a Creative Brand Strategist—someone who can dream up compelling marketing strategies, guide creative direction, and still catch a missing Oxford comma in a caption draft.

This role is the perfect balance of high-level strategic planning and hands-on creative review. You’ll help shape brand tone, define messaging, collaborate on content direction, and provide detailed feedback across all types of client work—social media, emails, ads, video scripts, and more. You’ll also join client onboarding sessions (and yes, take great notes), help interpret their goals, and ensure what we produce actually aligns with their vision.

This is not a “just delegate and supervise” kind of role—you’ll be in the trenches with us, proofing, brainstorming, concepting, and improving creative at every step.

What You’ll Be Doing-

Strategy & Campaign Planning

  • Participate in client onboarding sessions to help clarify tone, goals, target demographics, and creative direction
  • Take organized, detailed notes to help translate big ideas into actionable steps
  • Assist in building brand strategy docs, campaign frameworks, and multi-channel content plans
  • Collaborate with creative leads across social, video, design, and email to brainstorm campaign ideas
  • Research client industries, competitors, and marketing trends to help inform smart creative

Creative Oversight & Content Proofing

  • Review content across departments before final editor review—including captions, email copy, graphics, video scripts, and ads
  • Ensure all work meets brand standards, campaign goals, and Manski Media’s quality expectations
  • Offer thoughtful, constructive feedback to help polish and elevate content
  • Source reference examples or creative inspiration to guide the team in the right direction
  • Collaborate with the editor and creative team to ensure nothing falls through the cracks

Internal Collaboration & Support

  • Work cross-functionally with content creators, designers, and project managers to bring strategy and execution together
  • Help refine creative workflows and quality control systems
  • Occasionally, coach or mentor teammates on branding, content quality, or messaging consistency

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years in a brand, strategy, or content-based marketing role (agency experience strongly preferred)
  • Excellent writing, grammar, and communication skills
  • Experience with brand tone development, audience targeting, and campaign planning
  • Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Drive, and Monday.com
  • Great eye for design and layout—especially spotting small details others miss
  • A proven ability to manage multiple moving parts while staying organized
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with shifting priorities

Bonus Skills

  • Experience building email funnels, digital ads, or branded campaign messaging
  • Experience coaching or mentoring other creatives
  • Familiarity with performance-based creative strategy
  • A love for clean, organized systems and clearly defined processes

Important Note: This Is an In-Office Role

This position is 100% in-office at our Bend, Oregon location. We collaborate face-to-face, work closely as a team, and believe that our best creative happens when we’re in the room together.

Application Process: Required Strategy Assignment

Before moving to in-person interviews, all applicants must complete a required project-based assignment. Here’s what to expect:

  • You’ll receive a sample client and a blank version of our strategy guide template
  • You’ll fill it out, outlining tone, brand direction, content ideas, and campaign strategy
  • You’ll pitch your ideas back to us in the format of your choice (PDF, slides, etc.)

If we like the way you think, write, and create—we’ll bring you in for an interview.

We're planning to fill this role with a start date right after the holidays, so everyone can come in fresh and ready to roll in the new year.
