Overview

The Social Media & Marketing Manager at The 12 plays a pivotal leadership role in amplifying the voice of "The 12 Nation"—a transformative wellness community defined by energy, authenticity, and performance. This individual is responsible for defining and executing an integrated marketing strategy across digital, social, and physical platforms that drives growth, community engagement, and brand loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

  • Own the overall marketing strategy to increase awareness and engagement, including organic and paid media.
  • Collaborate directly with executive leadership to align marketing initiatives with business goals and expansion plans.
  • Lead brand development and positioning efforts to maintain The 12's status as a boutique fitness industry innovator.

Content & Campaign Management

  • Oversee the execution of strategic campaigns including Monthly Social Media, Marketing, Content Creation and Graphic design (Which includes Email, Social and In Studio Graphics.
  • Spearhead content creation—particularly high-impact reels, educational content, and community-driven UGC—to highlight key areas: fitness, wellness, recovery, and supplementation.
  • Manage quarterly and monthly marketing calendars that integrate campaign themes with social content pillars.

Team Management & Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor a growing internal marketing team of interns and content creators.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments such as Training, Operations, and Ownership to promote services and highlight subject matter experts.
  • Ensure consistent storytelling across all channels (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) and touchpoints within studios.

Performance & Analytics

  • Define and track KPIs across campaigns and platforms; provide regular performance updates to leadership.
  • Utilize tools such as Sprout Social, Canva, ChatGPT 5.1, Meta Business Suite, and Google Analytics to drive real-time optimization.
  • Implement A/B testing, email campaign tracking, and referral attribution models to maximize member acquisition and retention.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of progressive marketing leadership experience; experience in fitness, wellness, or lifestyle brands is mandatory.
  • Proven success managing high-performing social campaigns and influencer/UGC programs.
  • Deep understanding of digital platforms (Instagram, Facebook and Tik Tok) and emerging content formats (reels, short-form video).
  • Experience with campaign planning tools and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Sprout Social).
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Nice to Have

  • Creative design or video editing background (e.g., Canva, Final Cut, CapCut).
  • Previous experience launching a new brand or a rebrand.
  • Passion for fitness, health, and community-based initiatives is a must.
